Health Department Confirms Three Additional COVID-19 Deaths, 10,917 Cases in Madison County

The Jackson-Madison County Regional Health Department confirms three additional COVID-19 deaths, bringing the total to 188 in Madison County, according to a Wednesday morning news release from the department. The newest deaths include:

  • 78-year-old female (died 11/8/2020)
  • 93-year-old female (died 1/23/2021)
  • 77-year-old female (died 3/2/2021)

 

The health department received positive test results for five more cases of COVID-19. There is now a cumulative total of 10,917 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Madison County.

The newest confirmed cases range from ages 1 to 74.

The department’s epidemiology staff are reaching out to these individuals and people who had close contact with these cases.

Five Madison County residents are currently hospitalized. Two of those patients are on a ventilator.
