Health Department Confirms Additional COVID-19 Death, Cumulative Total of 10,875 Cases of COVID-19 in Madison County

The Jackson-Madison County Regional Health Department confirms a 65-year-old female died Feb. 17 due to complications from COVID-19, according to a Thursday morning news release from the department. This brings the total number of COVID-19 related deaths to 185 in Madison County.

The health department received positive test results for 18 more cases of COVID-19. There is now a cumulative total of 10,875 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Madison County.

The newest confirmed cases range from ages 10 to 66.

The department’s epidemiology staff are reaching out to these individuals and people who had close contact with these cases.

Six Madison County residents are currently hospitalized. One of those patients is on a ventilator.
