Health Department Confirms Three Additional COVID-19 Deaths, 10,711 Cumulative Cases in Madison County

The Jackson-Madison County Regional Health Department confirms three additional COVID-19 deaths, according to a Wednesday morning news release. This brings the total number of COVID-19 related deaths to 179 in Madison County. The newest deaths include:

  • 96-year-old female (died 12/26/2020)
  • 90-year-old female (died 12/11/ 2020)
  • 90-year-old female (died 12/8/2020)

The health department received positive test results for 25 more cases of COVID-19. There are now 10,711 cumulative confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Madison County.

The newest confirmed cases range from ages 3 to 81.

The department’s epidemiology staff are reaching out to these individuals and people who had close contact with these cases.

Ten Madison County residents are currently hospitalized. Two of those patients are on a ventilator.

The department also released the following demographic information about Madison County’s confirmed COVID-19 cases.
