Health Department Confirms Four Additional COVID-19 Deaths, 10,686 Cumulative Cases in Madison County

The Jackson-Madison County Regional Health Department confirms four additional COVID-19 deaths, according to a Tuesday morning news release from the department. This brings the total number of COVID-19 related deaths to 176 in Madison County.

The newest deaths include:

  • 87-year-old female (died 1/8/2021)
  • 94-year-old female (died 1/6/2021)
  • 57-year-old male (died 12/30/2020)
  • 88-year-old male (died 2/8/2021)

The health department received positive test results for 7 more cases of COVID-19. There are now 10,686 cumulative confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Madison County.

The newest confirmed cases range from ages 17 to 80.

The department’s epidemiology staff are reaching out to these individuals and people who had close contact with these cases.

Six Madison County residents are currently hospitalized. Two of those patients are on ventilators.

The department also released the following demographic information about Madison County’s confirmed COVID-19 cases.
