Health Department Confirms Three Additional COVID-19 Deaths, 10,587 Cumulative Cases in Madison County

The Jackson-Madison County Regional Health Department confirms three additional COVID-19 deaths, according to a Thursday morning news release from the department. This brings the total number of COVID-19 related deaths to 170 in Madison County.

The newest deaths include:

  • 43-year-old female (died 2/1/2021)
  • 80-year-old male (died 2/1/2021)
  • 84-year-old female (died 12/18/2020)

The health department received positive test results for 20 more cases of COVID-19. We now have 10,587 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Madison County.

The newest confirmed cases range from ages 3 to 68.

The department’s epidemiology staff are reaching out to these individuals and people who had close contact with these cases.

Eight Madison County residents are currently hospitalized. One of those patients is on a ventilator.

The department also released the following demographic information about Madison County’s confirmed COVID-19 cases.
