Health Department Confirms Three Additional COVID-19 Deaths, 36 New Cases of COVID-19 in Madison County

The Jackson-Madison County Regional Health Department confirms three additional COVID-19 related deaths, bringing the total to 155 in Madison County, according to a Thursday morning news release.

The newest deaths include:

  • 65-year-old male (died 1/10/2021)
  • 48-year-old male (died 1/7/2021)
  • 84-year-old female (died 1/13/2021)

The health department received positive test results for 36 more cases of COVID-19. There are now 9,784 cumulative confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Madison County.

The newest confirmed cases range from ages 10 months to 89.

The department’s epidemiology staff are reaching out to these individuals and people who had close contact with these cases.

Twenty Madison County residents are currently hospitalized. Three of those patients are on a ventilator.
