JACKSON, Tenn. – The Jackson-Madison County Regional Health Department will begin distributing the COVID-19 vaccine to Madison County residents ages 75 and older beginning Monday, Jan. 4, 2021. Adults in this age group can call the health department at 731-423-3020 (press 2 then 1 after calling) to schedule an appointment to get their COVID-19 vaccination.
Health department staff will vaccinate people included in Phase 1a2 on Saturday, Jan. 2, 2021 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the health department. Phase 1a2 includes all healthcare workers who have not already been vaccinated. These individuals must show healthcare credentials. They do not need an appointment to be vaccinated on Saturday.
The COVID-19 vaccine is not currently available to the general public. We will notify the public when we receive more vaccine and move to the next phase of distribution.
