Health Department Confirms 81 New Cases of COVID-19 In Madison County

JACKSON, Tenn. – The Jackson-Madison County Regional Health Department confirms a 66-year-old male died Dec. 12 due to complications from COVID-19. This brings the total number of COVID-19 related deaths to 123 in Madison County.

The health department received positive test results for 81 more cases of COVID-19. We now have 6,897 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Madison County.

The newest confirmed cases range from ages 9 months to 85.

Epidemiology staff are reaching out to these individuals and people who had close contact with these cases.

Twenty-one Madison County residents are currently hospitalized. Four of those patients are on a ventilator.
