
There are over 4,095 new cases of the novel coronavirus in Tennessee, according to Wednesday’s data from the Tennessee Department of Health.
As of 2 p.m. Tuesday, there are 384,285 confirmed cases of COVID-19, which is 4,099 additional cases since Tuesday afternoon’s report. The death toll has risen by 50 additional deaths to 4,688.
There have been 342,115 recoveries or inactive cases. The department said it defines recoveries as people who have been confirmed to be asymptomatic by their local or regional health department and have completed their required isolation period or are at least 21 days beyond the first test confirming their illness.
A total of 2,473 people with COVID-19 are currently hospitalized, which is an increase of 96 hospitalizations.
A total of 4,574,275 tests have been taken, which is 22,685 more since Tuesday’s report.
