140 New Reported Cases of COVID-19 and a Total of 107 Deaths in Madison County, Health Dept. Confirms

The Jackson-Madison County Regional Health Department confirmed Wednesday that there are 140 new reported cases of COVID-19 in Madison County. This is the second highest confirmation of cases since Friday, Nov. 13, when the department reported 151 new cases.

There are now 5,940 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Madison County. The newest confirmed cases range from ages 1 to 91.

The department also confirmed Wednesday that a 72-year-old female died Nov. 27 due to complications from COVID-19. Her death brings the total number of COVID-19 related deaths to 107 in Madison County.

The department’s epidemiology staff are reaching out to these individuals and people who had close contact with these cases.

Twenty Madison County residents are currently hospitalized. Five of those patients are on a ventilator.

The department also released the following demographic information about Madison County’s confirmed COVID-19 cases.
