The Jackson-Madison County Regional Health Department received positive test results for 22 more cases of COVID-19, according to a Monday morning news release from the department. There are now 5,704 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Madison County.
The newest confirmed cases range from ages 1 to 79.
The department’s epidemiology staff are reaching out to these individuals and people who had close contact with these cases.
Eighteen Madison County residents are currently hospitalized. Three of those patients are on a ventilator.
The health department reported Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 26, the deaths of a 66-year-old male, who died Nov. 25, and a 68-year-old female, who died Nov. 25 due to complications from COVID-19. Thar brought the total number of COVID-19 related deaths to 103 in Madison County that day. The health department also received positive test results for 71 more cases of COVID-19.
Those confirmed cases ranged from ages 7 months to 86.
The health department reported Friday, Nov. 27, that it received positive test results for 36 more cases of COVID-19. Those confirmed cases ranged from ages 2 weeks to 77.
The department reported 54 more cases Saturday, Nov. 28. Those confirmed cases ranged from ages 12 to 85.
Three additional COVID-19 related deaths were reported Sunday, Nov. 29, bringing the total number of COVID-19 related deaths to 106 in Madison County.
The newest deaths included:
- 82-year-old female (died 11/27/2020)
- 31-year-old female (died 11/27/2020)
- 53-year-old male (died 11/28/2020)
The health department also received positive test results for 32 more cases of COVID-19 that day.
