TN Dept. Of Health Reports Over 4,300 New Cases Of COVID-19 and Over 4,300 Deaths

There are over 4,300 new cases of the novel coronavirus in Tennessee, according to Monday’s data from the Tennessee Department of Health.

As of 2 p.m. Monday, there are 344,550 confirmed cases of COVID-19, which is 4,074 additional cases since Sunday afternoon’s report. The death toll has risen by 35 additional deaths to 4,301.

There have been 296,592 recoveries or inactive cases. The department said it defines recoveries as people who have been confirmed to be asymptomatic by their local or regional health department and have completed their required isolation period or are at least 21 days beyond the first test confirming their illness.

A total of 2,091 people with COVID-19 are currently hospitalized, which is an increase of 29 hospitalizations.

A total of 4,308,522 tests have been taken, which is 28,457 more since Sunday’s report.
