The Jackson-Madison County Regional Health Department received positive test results for 38 more cases of COVID-19, according to a Friday morning news release from the department. There are now 5,157 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Madison County.
The newest confirmed cases range from ages 4 to 83.
The department’s epidemiology staff are reaching out to these individuals and people who had close contact with these cases.
Twenty-two Madison County residents are currently hospitalized. Four of those patients are on a ventilator.
