TN Dept. Of Health Reports Over 1,840 New Cases Of COVID-19 and Over 3,990 Deaths

There are over 1,840 new cases of the novel coronavirus in Tennessee, according to Tuesday’s data from the Tennessee Department of Health.

As of 2 p.m. Tuesday, there are 320,729 confirmed cases of COVID-19, which is 1,841 additional cases since Monday afternoon’s report. The death toll has risen by 72 additional deaths to 3,995.

There have been 276,497 recoveries or inactive cases. The department said it defines recoveries as people who have been confirmed to be asymptomatic by their local or regional health department and have completed their required isolation period or are at least 21 days beyond the first test confirming their illness.

A total of 1,929 people with COVID-19 are currently hospitalized, which is an increase of 95 hospitalizations.

A total of 4,153,710 tests have been taken, which is 14,0982 more since Monday’s report.
