Health Department Confirms Two Additional COVID-19 Deaths, 4,472 Cases of COVID-19 in Madison County

The Jackson-Madison County Regional Health Department confirms a 53-year-old male died Oct. 27 and an 88-year-old female died Nov. 3 due to complications from COVID-19, according to a Wednesday morning news release from the department. This brings the total number of COVID-19 related deaths to 88 in Madison County.

The health department received positive test results for 50 more cases of COVID-19. There are now 4,472 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Madison County.

The newest confirmed cases range from ages 3 to 90.

The department’s epidemiology staff are reaching out to these individuals and people who had close contact with these cases.

Twenty-two Madison County residents are currently hospitalized. Five of those patients are on a ventilator.

The department also released the following demographic information about Madison County’s confirmed COVID-19 cases.
