
There are over 1,765 new cases of the novel coronavirus in Tennessee, according to Tuesday’s data from the Tennessee Department of Health.
As of 2 p.m. Tuesday, there are 266,357 confirmed cases of COVID-19, which is 1,770 additional cases since Monday afternoon’s report. The death toll has risen by 75 additional deaths to 3,454.
There have been 237,736 recoveries or inactive cases. The department said it defines recoveries as people who have been confirmed to be asymptomatic by their local or regional health department and have completed their required isolation period or are at least 21 days beyond the first test confirming their illness.
A total of 1,461 people with COVID-19 are currently hospitalized, which is an increase of 26 hospitalizations.
A total of 3,719,198 tests have been taken, which is 13,772 more since Monday’s report.
