Health Department Confirms Additional COVID-19 Death, 3,975 Cases of COVID-19 in Madison County

JACKSON, Tenn. – The Jackson-Madison County Regional Health Department confirms a 67-year-old female died Oct. 28 due to complications from COVID-19. This brings the total number of COVID-19 related deaths to 78 in Madison County.

The health department received positive test results for 34 more cases of COVID-19. We now have 3,975 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Madison County. The newest confirmed cases range from ages 8 to 77. Epidemiology staff are reaching out to these individuals and people who had close contact with these cases. Twenty Madison County residents are currently hospitalized. Three of those patients are on a ventilator.
