There are over 3,315 new cases of the novel coronavirus in Tennessee, according to Monday’s data from the Tennessee Department of Health.
As of 2 p.m. Monday, there are 232,061 confirmed cases of COVID-19, which is 3,317 additional cases since Sunday afternoon’s report. The death toll has risen by 13 additional deaths to 2,922.
There have been 232,061 recoveries or inactive cases. The department said it defines recoveries as people who have been confirmed to be asymptomatic by their local or regional health department and have completed their required isolation period or are at least 21 days beyond the first test confirming their illness.
A total of 1,188 people with COVID-19 are currently hospitalized.
A total of 3,371,897 tests have been taken, which is 42,410 more since Sunday’s report.
