TN Dept. Of Health Reports Over 2,485 New Cases Of COVID-19 and Over 2,595 Deaths

There are over 2,485 new cases of the novel coronavirus in Tennessee, according to Monday’s data from the Tennessee Department of Health.

As of 2 p.m. Monday, there are 203,699 confirmed cases of COVID-19, which is 2,489 additional cases since Sunday afternoon’s report. The death toll has risen by 20 additional deaths to 2,597.

There have been 185,221  recoveries or inactive cases. The department said it defines recoveries as people who have been confirmed to be asymptomatic by their local or regional health department and have completed their required isolation period or are at least 21 days beyond the first test confirming their illness.

A total of  815 people with COVID-19 are currently hospitalized.

A total of  3,006,185 tests have been taken, which is 44,101 more since Sunday’s report.
