There are over 1,610 new cases of the novel coronavirus in Tennessee, according to Sunday’s data from the Tennessee Department of Health.
As of 2 p.m. Sunday, there are 201,210 confirmed cases of COVID-19, which is 1,615 additional cases since Saturday afternoon’s report. The death toll has risen by 17 additional deaths to 2,577.
There have been 184,404 recoveries or inactive cases. The department said it defines recoveries as people who have been confirmed to be asymptomatic by their local or regional health department and have completed their required isolation period or are at least 21 days beyond the first test confirming their illness.
A total of 791 people with COVID-19 are currently hospitalized.
A total of 2,962,084 tests have been taken, which is 33,275 more since Saturday’s report.
