Three West Carroll Primary School staff members have tested positive for COVID-19, according to a Monday afternoon phone alert message from the West Carroll Special School District Director of Schools Dexter Williams. All three schools will remain open, Williams said.
In the recorded message, Williams said the primary school was made aware Monday of the three staff members who tested positive for the novel coronavirus.
“We have identified close contacts and they will begin the quarantine process,” Williams said. “Our school district follows the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the CDC, and the Tennessee Department of Health guidelines for the management of individuals who have been diagnosed with or exposed to COVID-19.”
Williams added, “We want to make sure we keep you informed as much as possible. All three schools will remain open. We will provide updates should there be future situations. Thanks and have a great evening.”
