TN Dept. Of Health Reports Over 2,100 New Cases Of COVID-19 and Over 2,375 Deaths

There are over 2,100 new cases of the novel coronavirus in Tennessee, according to Sunday’s data from the Tennessee Department of Health.

As of 2 p.m. Sunday, there are 192,995 confirmed cases of COVID-19, which is 2,104  additional cases since Saturday afternoon’s report. The death toll has risen by 3 additional deaths to 2,377.

There have been 175,143  recoveries or inactive cases. The department said it defines recoveries as people who have been confirmed to be asymptomatic by their local or regional health department and have completed their required isolation period or are at least 21 days beyond the first test confirming their illness.

A total of  728 people with COVID-19 are currently hospitalized.

A total of  2,825,374 tests have been taken, which is 42,530 more since Saturday’s report.
