Health Department Confirms 2,800 Cases of COVID-19 in Madison County

The Jackson-Madison County Regional Health Department received positive test results for 39 more cases of COVID-19, according to a Friday morning news release from the department. There are now 2,800 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Madison County.

The newest confirmed cases include 16 males, 23 females, and range from ages 10 to 90.

The department’s epidemiology staff are reaching out to these individuals and people who had close contact with these cases.

Twelve Madison County residents are currently hospitalized. One of those patients is on a ventilator.

The department also released the following demographic information about Madison County’s confirmed COVID-19 cases.
