There are over 930 new cases of the novel coronavirus in Tennessee, according to Sunday’s data from the Tennessee Department of Health.
As of 2 p.m. Sunday, there are 171,824 confirmed cases of COVID-19, which is 933 additional cases since Saturday afternoon’s report. The death toll has risen by 14 additional deaths to 2,078.
There have been 155,865 recoveries or inactive cases. The department said it defines recoveries as people who have been confirmed to be asymptomatic by their local or regional health department and have completed their required isolation period or are at least 21 days beyond the first test confirming their illness.
A total of 696 people with COVID-19 are currently hospitalized.
A total of 2,451,124 tests have been taken, which is 13,359 more since Saturday’s report.
