Health Department Confirms 2,573 Cases of COVID-19 in Madison County

The Jackson-Madison County Regional Health Department received positive test results for 26 more cases of COVID-19, according to a Thursday morning news release from the department. There are now 2,573 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Madison County.

The newest confirmed cases include 9 males, 17 females, and range from ages 3 to 73.

The department’s epidemiology staff are reaching out to these individuals and people who had close contact with these cases.

Seventeen Madison County residents are currently hospitalized. One of those patients is on a ventilator.

The department also released the following demographic information about Madison County’s confirmed COVID-19 cases.
