1,786 Cases of COVID-19 in Madison County

 The Jackson-Madison County Regional Health Department received positive test results for 21 more cases of COVID-19,according to Director Kim Tedford. There are now 1,786 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Madison County.

The newest confirmed cases include 6 males, 15 females, and range from ages 2 months to 68.

The department’s epidemiology staff are reaching out to these individuals and people who had close contact with these cases.

Twenty-one Madison County residents are currently hospitalized. One of those patients is on a ventilator.

Amy Garner, West Tennessee Healthcare Chief Compliance & Communications Officer, said there are 103 COVID-19 patients at Jackson Madison County General Hospital, with 36 in ICU and 19 on ventilators.
