The West TN State Fair Board has cancelled the West Tennessee State Fair 2020, according to a Facebook Post from City of Jackson Mayor Scott Conger.

The following is the letter from the board which Conger posted:

“After careful consideration and discussions with City of Jackson Mayor Scott Conger, Members of Jackson Madison County Regional Health Department, and the West Tennessee State Fair Board of Directors, the 2020 West Tennessee State Fair scheduled for September 15-20 has been cancelled due to COVID-19 concerns.

The health and safety of the citizens of West Tennessee is everyone’s top priority and we feel it would be irresponsible to proceed with the fair while the positive cases within Madison County and surrounding areas continue to rise. We are saddened and disappointed that we are unable to hold this event, but on the other hand we are blessed with the opportunity to bring back The West Tennessee State Fair to Jackson in 2021.

Save the date for The West Tennessee State Fair 2021 – September 14-19, 2021!”
