The Jackson-Madison County Regional Health Department received positive test results for 18 more confirmed cases of COVID-19, according to a Monday morning news release from the department. There are now 349 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Madison County.
The newest confirmed cases include:
- 21-year-old male (not hospitalized)
- 69-year-old female (not hospitalized)
- 20-year-old female (not hospitalized)
- 18-year-old male (not hospitalized)
- 61-year-old male (not hospitalized)
- 26-year-old female (not hospitalized)
- 64-year-old female (not hospitalized)
- 67-year-old female (not hospitalized)
- 33-year-old female (not hospitalized)
- 17-year-old female (hospitalization unknown)
- 41-year-ole male (not hospitalized)
- 36-year-ole male (hospitalization unknown)
- 17-year-old male (hospitalization unknown)
- 18-year-old male (hospitalization unknown)
- 52-year-old female (hospitalization unknown)
- 31-year-old female (hospitalization unknown)
- 22-year-old female (hospitalization unknown)
- 47-year-old female (hospitalization unknown)
Epidemiology staff are still trying to contact some of these individuals, so hospitalization status is unknown at this time. We are also reaching out to people who had close contact with these cases.
Seven Madison County residents are currently hospitalized. One of those patients is on a ventilator.
The release said 223 Madison County residents have recovered from COVID-19 and 17 people say they are feeling better.
