260 Cases of COVID-19 in Madison County

The Jackson-Madison County Regional Health Department received positive test results for 18 more confirmed cases of COVID-19, according to a Tuesday morning news release from the department. There are now 260 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Madison County.

The newest confirmed cases include:

  • a 21-year-old female (not hospitalized)
  • a 73-year-old male (hospitalized)
  • a 34-year-old male (not hospitalized)
  • a 57-year-old female (not hospitalized)
  • a 21-year-old female (not hospitalized)
  • a 62-year-old female (not hospitalized)
  • a 53-year-old male (not hospitalized)
  • a 36-year-old female (not hospitalized)
  • a 63-year-old female (not hospitalized)
  • a 50-year-old female (not hospitalized)
  • a 41-year-old female (not hospitalized)
  • a 31-year-old male (not hospitalized)
  • a 24-year-old female (not hospitalized)
  • a 66-year-old male (not hospitalized)
  • a 33-year-old female (not hospitalized)
  • a 31-year-old male (not hospitalized)
  • a 83-year-old female (not hospitalized)
  • a 56-year-old female (hospitalization unknown)

The department’s epidemiology staff are still trying to contact one of these individuals, so hospitalization status is unknown at this time. We are also reaching out to people who had close contact with these cases.

Six Madison County residents are currently hospitalized. One of those patients is on a ventilator.

There are 207 Madison County residents have recovered from COVID-19 and 15 people say they are feeling better.
