The Walk for Justice: Remembering the Lives of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, and Ahmaud Arbery will be held between at 4:45 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. June 11 at Union University, located at 1050 Union University Drive, Jackson, Tenn., according to a Facebook event co-host by Union University and Union University School of Social Work.
This is a peaceful poster demonstration for the UU community who would like to stand in support of justice.
The event will begin by participants meeting in the Hurt parking lot near the Guard House. They will walk the perimeter of campus heading toward Union University Drive, on campus but parallel to the bypass, and return on Pleasant Plains to the Guard House.
Pandemic rules apply. Please be respectful of social distancing rules. Masks and posters will be available for those who need one.
This demonstration is co-sponsored by Union University’s Center for Just and Caring Communities, Center for Intercultural Engagement and Center for Racial Reconciliation.
