The second I Can’t Breathe Peace Rally, by protest organizer Tracy Boyd, will be held between 4:30 and 8 p.m. Wednesday, June 10, according to a Facebook post by Boyd. The rally will kick off on the public sidewalk of the Old Hickory Mall, located at 2021 N. Highland Ave., in Jackson, Tenn. at 4:30 p.m. The rally will then move to Jackson City Hall, located 101 E. Main St., at 6:10 p.m.
There will be a voter registration sign-up, an expungement clinic informational, “We the Community” Demands, “live music, food, peaceful injustice demonstrations and community prayer.
According to Boyd’s post, “This gives our own black community members a platform to share their perspectives, emotions, and experiences. No more protesting and just quitting! We are DEMANDING this change!”
