The Jackson-Madison County Regional Health Department received positive test results for one more confirmed cases of COVID-19, according to a Saturday morning news release from the health department. Madison County now has 168 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Madison County.
The most recent case is a 46-year-old female, who is not hospitalized. Epidemiology staff are reaching out to people who had close contact with her.
The release said three Madison County residents are currently hospitalized with COVID-19, with one of those patients on a ventilator.
The department also reported that 153 Madison County residents have recovered from COVID-19 and eight people say they are feeling better.
