167 Cases of COVID-19 in Madison County, Health Dept. Says

The Jackson-Madison County Regional Health Department received positive test results for two more confirmed cases of COVID-19, according to a Friday morning news release from the health department. Madison County now has 167 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Madison County.

The most recent cases include:

  • a 14-year-old female (not hospitalized)
  • a 52-year-old female (not hospitalized)

The department’s epidemiology staff are reaching out to these cases and people who had close contact them.

The release said three Madison County residents are currently hospitalized with COVID-19, with one of those patients on a ventilator.

The department also reported that 153 Madison County residents have recovered from COVID-19 and eight people say they are feeling better.
