156 Confirmed Cases of COVID-19 in Madison County, Health Dept. Says

The total of confirmed cases of novel coronavirus rose by one Friday afternoon, bringing the total cases to 156, according to a news release from the Jackson Madison County Regional Health Department.

The most recent case is a 26-year-old female, who is not hospitalized. The department’s epidemiology staff are reaching out to people who had contact with this person.

The release said seven Madison County residents are currently hospitalized with COVID-19, with two of those patients on ventilators.

The release also said 129 Madison County residents have recovered from COVID-19 and 10 residents have reported feeling better.
