
Many business owners joined a virtual meeting hosted by the Jackson (Tenn.) Chamber of Commerce Friday afternoon to give Phase 1 feedback and preparation for Phase 2 discussion of Jackson-Madison County Economic Recovery Plan during the novel coronavirus pandemic. Close contact businesses such as barbers, hair salons, tattoo parlors, massage parlors and more will open Monday, May 4 in Jackson-Madison County. The close contact businesses in 89 of 95 of the state’s counties will reopen May 6.
Attendees were greeted by Jackson Chamber President/CEO Kyle Spurgeon, City of Jackson Mayor Scott Conger, Madison County Mayor Jimmy Harris, Jackson-Madison County Regional Health Department Executive Director Kim Tedford and West Tennessee Healthcare Executive Vice-President and Chief Operating Officer/Nursing Officer Tina Prescott.
During Friday’s meeting, Conger, Harris, Tedford and Ross answered questions and concerns that business owners had.
