145 Confirmed Cases of COVID-19 in Madison County, Health Dept. Says

The Jackson-Madison County Regional Health Department has received a positive test result for one more confirmed case of COVID-19, according to a Thursday afternoon news release from the department. The total number of confirmed cases is now at 145 in Madison County.

The newest case is a 66-year-old female, who is not hospitalized. The department’s epidemiology staff is reaching out to people who had contact with this person.

The release said seven Madison County residents are currently hospitalized with COVID-19, with two of those patients currently on ventilators.
