143 Confirmed Cases of COVID-19 in Madison County, Health Dept. Says

The Jackson-Madison County Regional Health Department has received a positive test result for two more confirmed cases of COVID-19, according to a Wednesday afternoon news release from the department. The total number of confirmed cases remains at 143 in Madison County.

The newest cases include:

  • a 17-year-old female (not hospitalized)
  • a 55-year-old female (not hospitalized)

The department’s epidemiology staff are reaching out to people who had contact with these patients.

The release said eight Madison County residents are currently hospitalized with COVID-19, with one of those patients currently on a ventilator.
