The Jackson-Madison County Regional Health Department received positive test results for three more confirmed cases of COVID-19 Wednesday morning, according to Kim Tedford, executive director of the department. Madison County now has a total of 141 confirmed cases of COVID-19.
The newest cases include:
- a 40-year-old female (not hospitalized)
- a 54-year-old female (not hospitalized)
- a 35-year-old male (not hospitalized)
The department’s epidemiology staff is reaching out to people who had contact with this patient.
Eight Madison County residents are currently hospitalized with the novel coronavirus, Tedford said. She said one patient was taken off the ventilator Tuesday night and there are currently three COVID-19 patients on a ventilator.
