The Jackson-Madison County Regional Health Department received positive test results for four more confirmed cases of COVID-19 Friday morning, according to Kim Tedford, executive director of the Jackson Madison County Regional Health Department. Madison County now has a total of 133 confirmed cases of COVID-19.
The most recent cases include:
- a 36-year-old female (not hospitalized)
- a 52-year-old female (hospitalized)
- a 36-year-old male (hospitalization unknown)
- a 66-year-old male (hospitalization unknown)
The department’s epidemiology staff is still trying to reach some of these patients, so hospitalization status is unknown at this time. The department’s staff is also reaching out to people who had contact with the patients.
Tedford continues to strongly encourage everyone who goes out into the public to cover their face when in public and continue practicing social distancing.
