Tedford said there are still no confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Jackson-Madison County.

Amy Garner, System Vice President & Chief Compliance and Communications Officer for West Tennessee Healthcare, said Jackson-Madison County General Hospital is prepared and continues to prepare as they expect more COVID-19 patients. She said the hospital has available beds and has 40 to 50 ventilators with more on the way. They have also ordered more equipment and medical supplies and have asked for no visitors unless its an extreme situation.

Garner also said WTH has asked doctors to talk with their patients about postponing surgeries that are not urgently needed.
