Ken Lilly, owner of Poplar Corner Exxon, located at 1450 Hollywood Dr., in Jackson, Tenn., announced on Facebook late Sunday night that the gas station has moved to pumping gas for its customers to help prevent the spread of COVID-19.
“I want to do my part in keeping our customers and community safer in the spreading of the coronavirus,” Lilly said in the post. “Beginning Monday morning, we will be pumping everyone’s Gas on all pumps at self-service prices. This will allow you to stay in your vehicle and not touch any pumps or credit card machines.”
Lilly added, “There will be volunteers from the Elks lodge of Jackson to help in this effort. We are a family-owned small business and we are supplied by our Exxon Distributor, Ferguson Brothers, Inc., who have been locally owned since 1920. We are all in this together, so let’s continue to help each other.”
Popular Corner Exxon is opened from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m., Monday through Saturday.
