
RIFA has announced that its Bus Stop Cafe will be providing Snack Backpacks to kids at eight locations throughout Jackson March 23 through March 27 since Jackson-Madison County Schools are closed because of the coronavirus pandemic. RIFA also has reserved food boxes to give to patrons who will not have access to the kitchen for the coming weeks.
According to RIFAJackson.org, the schedule for the Bus Stop Cafe is as follows:
Monday, Wednesday and Friday, the Bus Stop Cafe will be at:
-Lincoln Courts, 217 Lincoln Circle, from 11 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
-Royal Arms Apartments, 1580 N. Royal St., from 11:45 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.
-Rolling Acres Estates, 300 Rolling Acres Dr., from 12:30 p.m. until 1 p.m.
-Hartland Place Apartments, 800 Old Hickory Blvd, from 1:15 p.m. until 1:45 p.m.
Tuesday and Thursday, the Bus Stop Cafe will be at:
-Allenton Heights, 122 Allen Ave., from 11 a.m. until 11:30 a.m.
-Park Ridge Apartments, 100 Park Ridge Dr., from 11:45 a.m. until 12:15 p.m.
-Scottish Inn Motel, 2295 N. Highland Ave., from 12:30 p.m. until 1 p.m.
-Villages of Old Hickory, 550 Old Hickory Blvd., from 1:15 p.m. until 1:45 p.m.
RIFA said the community can help by sponsoring a food box for $30 to provide a Soup Kitchen patron during this time. Donations can be made online at www.rifajackson.org.
