Health Dept. Confirms Seven Additional COVID-19 Deaths, Over 60 New Cases in Madison County Since Tuesday, Oct. 19

The Jackson-Madison County Regional Health Department confirms seven additional COVID-19 related deaths, bringing the total to 311 in Madison County, according to a Friday morning news release from the department. The newest deaths include:

  • 74-year-old male (died 10/13/2021)
  • 63-year-old male (died 10/14/2021)
  • 52-year-old female (died 10/17/2021)
  • 88-year-old female (died 10/17/2021)
  • 73-year-old female (died 10/17/2021)
  • 64-year-old male (died 10/18/2021)
  • 70-year-old female (died 10/18/2021)

The health department has received positive test results for 67 more cases of COVID-19 since Tuesday, Oct. 19, 2021. There is now a cumulative total of 18,201 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Madison County.

The department’s epidemiology staff are reaching out to these individuals and people who had close contact with these cases.

The department also released the following demographic information about Madison County’s confirmed COVID-19 cases.
