The Jackson-Madison County Regional Health Department confirms a 73-year-old male died Monday, July 26, and a 76-year-old female died Wednesday, July 28, due to complications from COVID-19, the department said in a news release Friday morning. This brings the total number of COVID-19 related deaths to 239 in Madison County.
The health department has received positive test results for 110 more cases of COVID-19 since Tuesday, July 27, 2021. There is now a cumulative total of 11,910 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Madison County.
The department’s epidemiology staff are reaching out to these individuals and people who had close contact with these cases.
The department also released the following demographic information about Madison County’s confirmed COVID-19 cases.
