Health Department Confirms Seven Additional COVID-19 Deaths, Cumulative Total of 10,930 Cases in Madison County

The Jackson-Madison County Regional Health Department confirms seven additional COVID-19 related deaths, bringing the total to 195 in Madison County, according to a Friday morning news release from the department. The newest deaths include:

  • 93-year-old female (died 10/29/2020)
  • 88-year-old female (died 11/5/2020)
  • 67-year-old male (died 11/26/2020)
  • 72-year-old male (died 11/30/2020)
  • 57-year-old female (died 12/16/2020)
  • 72-year-old female (died 01/03/2021)
  • 74-year-old female (died 3/4/2021)

The health department received positive test results for five more cases of COVID-19. There is now a cumulative total of 10,930 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Madison County.

The newest confirmed cases range from ages 11 months to 35.

The department’s epidemiology staff are reaching out to these individuals and people who had close contact with these cases.

Four Madison County residents are currently hospitalized. Two of those patients are on ventilators.
