There are over 3,965 new cases of the novel coronavirus in Tennessee, according to Thursday’s data from the Tennessee Department of Health.
As of 2 p.m. Tuesday, there are 388,252 confirmed cases of COVID-19, which is 3,967 additional cases since Wednesday afternoon’s report. The death toll has risen by 93 additional deaths to 4,781.
There have been 347,412 recoveries or inactive cases. The department said it defines recoveries as people who have been confirmed to be asymptomatic by their local or regional health department and have completed their required isolation period or are at least 21 days beyond the first test confirming their illness.
A total of 2,476 people with COVID-19 are currently hospitalized, which is a decrease of 2 hospitalizations.
A total of 4,593,957 tests have been taken, which is 19,682 more since Wednesday’s report.
