Health Department Confirms 3,612 Cases of COVID-19 in Madison County

The Jackson-Madison County Regional Health Department received positive test results for 23 more cases of COVID-19, according to a Monday morning news release from the department. We now have 3,612 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Madison County.

The newest confirmed cases include 8 males, 15 females and range from ages 5 to 82.

The department reported Saturday morning 43 new cases of COVID-19, with cases including 13 males, 24 females, 6 unknowns and range from ages 17 to 76.

The department reported Sunday morning 32 new cases of COVID-19, with cases including 11 males, 18 females, 3 unknowns and range from ages 4 months to 88.

The department’s epidemiology staff are reaching out to these individuals and people who had close contact with these cases.

Eighteen Madison County residents are currently hospitalized. Two of those patients are on a ventilator.
