TN Dept. Of Health Reports Over 955 New Cases Of COVID-19 and Over 2,125 Deaths

There are over 955 new cases of the novel coronavirus in Tennessee, according to Tuesday’s data from the Tennessee Department of Health.

As of 2 p.m. Tuesday, there are 175,231 confirmed cases of COVID-19, which is 957 additional cases since Monday afternoon’s report. The death toll has risen by 30 additional deaths to 2,127 .

There have been 158,660  recoveries or inactive cases. The department said it defines recoveries as people who have been confirmed to be asymptomatic by their local or regional health department and have completed their required isolation period or are at least 21 days beyond the first test confirming their illness.

A total of 762 people with COVID-19 are currently hospitalized.

A total of 2,510,091 tests have been taken, which is 22,384 more since Monday’s report.
