There are over 1,815 new cases of the novel coronavirus in Tennessee, according to Monday’s data from the Tennessee Department of Health.

As of 2 p.m. Monday, there are 154,933 confirmed cases of COVID-19, which is 1,818 additional cases since Sunday afternoon’s report. The death toll has risen by 7 additional deaths to 1,754.

There have been 116,864 recoveries, 2,095 more since Sunday. The department said it defines recoveries as people who have been confirmed to be asymptomatic by their local or regional health department and have completed their required isolation period or are at least 21 days beyond the first test confirming their illness.

A total of 6,878 people with COVID-19 have been hospitalized, but the department noted that while the number indicates the number of patients that were ever hospitalized during their illness, it does not indicate the number of patients currently hospitalized.

A total of 2,197,316 tests have been taken, which is 11,952 more since Sunday’s report.
