August 4, 2020 Council Meeting First Reading Invitation for Public Comments

August’s Jackson City Council meeting will be held virtually on Tuesday, August 4, 2020, according to a Thursday  morning news release from the City of Jackson Mayor’s office. The Council Chambers will be closed to the public.
The City of Jackson, TN is working with Jackson Energy Authority to stream the virtual meeting on Channel 6 and on their website (www.eplustv6.com). The City will embed the link on its website (www.cityofjackson.net) as well as share the link to its Facebook (http://www.facebook.com/TheCityOfJacksonTN) and Twitter (@CityOfJacksonTN) platforms. The video will later be added to its YouTube page (http://www.youtube.com/c/CityOfJacksonTN731).
Public Comments: Public comments are allowed for items under First Reading. The items under first reading are:
1. Consideration of an Ordinance to close and abandon, a portion of an alley located between Walnut, Park, Roland and Prospect Streets.
2. Budget Amendment – Victims of Crime Grant
3. Budget Amendment – TVA/JEA Invest Prep Grant
4. Budget Amendment – TN Arts Access Grant
5. Budget Amendment – TN Arts Place Making Grant
6. Budget Amendment – JPD Capital
7. Consideration of an Ordinance to amend the Animal Control Ordinance for the City of Jackson, TN
